He specializes in the treatment of complex fractures and post-traumatic conditions. He has authored or co-authored numerous peer review publications. He is a respected academician and educator who has lectured nationally and internationally. He is a member of numerous organizations, including The Westchester County Medical Society, the New York State Medical Society, the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the Orthopaedic Trauma Association, and the American Orthopaedic Association. He is Chairman of Orthopaedic Surgery at New York Medical College, Program Director of the Westchester-based Orthopaedic Residency, and Co-Director of an Orthopaedic Trauma Fellowship shared between The Hospital for Special Surgery and Westchester Medical Center. He completed an Orthopaedic trauma fellowship at The Hospital for Special Surgery and an Orthopaedic spine fellowship at the University of Maryland. He completed Orthopaedic residency training at the Brown University and Rhode Island Hospital.
He is a graduate of the College of the Holy Cross and the University of Vermont College of Medicine. He has served as department chair and program director for 16 years.
